About FryFast

You are standing in the kitchen with a bag of frozen chips in one hand and your phone in the other. You need two numbers: a temperature and a number of minutes. FryFast exists to give you those two numbers in under ten seconds.

Why we built it

Search for how long to air fry almost anything and you get a two-thousand-word blog post, three video ads, a newsletter popup, and eventually a static table that gives one number for "chicken breast" — as though a small fillet and a large one cook the same way.

They don't. And the charts don't agree with each other either. Compare any three air fryer charts online and you will find chicken wings listed anywhere from ten to twenty-four minutes. That is why people's food comes out raw in the middle or dried out, and why they end up guessing.

What we do differently

Weight and thickness change the answer. Move the slider and the time recalculates. Most charts ignore the single biggest variable in cooking.
Frozen, fresh, and breaded are proper settings, not a separate table you have to hunt for.
Your air fryer type matters. Oven-style units run cooler and slower than basket units. We adjust for that.
Celsius and grams are first-class. Most air fryer charts are written for American kitchens. Ours is not.
A timer that tells you when to shake. The alarm goes off at the flip point and again at the end, and the screen stays awake while it runs.
Safe internal temperatures, always shown. Time is a guide; temperature is the truth.

How the times are worked out

Each food entry starts from a reference weight and a base time and temperature. Where published sources disagree, we look at why — usually one source assumes a preheated basket and another does not, or they are describing different cut sizes — and we set a figure that reflects a preheated basket air fryer with food in a single uncrowded layer.

Internal temperatures for meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs follow widely accepted public food-safety guidance. Where we list a higher figure than the safe minimum, that is a texture preference and we say so.

We keep revising these. If something cooks wrong for you, tell us — that feedback is genuinely how the data gets better.

FryFast is an independent site, built and maintained by a small independent operator based in the Republic of Maldives. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any air fryer manufacturer, including Ninja, Cosori, Instant, Philips, or Tower.

How it is funded

The site is free and always will be. It is supported by advertising, and some outbound product links may earn a small commission. Neither affects the cooking times shown — the dataset is set independently of any commercial relationship. See our privacy policy for details.
